One of my all-time favorite locations for senior pictures near Seattle is Scattered Seeds Flower Farm located in Monroe, Washington. The Flower Farm is also home to Pine Creek Farms, a wonderful retail nursery and gorgeous wedding venue.
The venue offers an incredible array of natural backdrops for senior photos, including rows of flowers like zinnias and dahlias, a metal arbor covered in vining flowers, a rustic wooden swinging bench overlooking a pond with a fountain, and more!

The Best Time to Book at Scattered Seeds
My favorite months to take photos at Scattered Seeds Flower Farm are between late June and September. However, the venue also boasts beautiful fall colors that carry into October and November, making it a great choice for autumn portrait sessions as well.

If you are interested in having your senior pictures taken at Scattered Seeds Flower Farm in the summer, I highly recommend booking your photographer several months in advance. Scattered Seeds is a private venue, and only allows two sessions to take place at a time, so golden hour time slots get booked up quickly.
As a wedding venue, Scattered Seeds is also typically unavailable on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays (unless you want to wake up early for a sunrise session!).

8 of My Favorite Photo Backdrops at Scattered Seeds Flower Farm
- The magical, vine-covered arbor

This dreamy spot is perfectly positioned for golden hour, with the sun setting right behind. It changes throughout the months (and even each year) as various flowers grow in and around the metal arbor.

2. The rows of zinnias that bloom between August and sometimes as late as early October!

3. The picturesque wooden swinging bench surrounded by flowers and greenery

4. Sunflowers!
The best time to book for sunflowers in late August to mid September. There are a few places at Scattered Seeds where sunflowers are usually planted, but this spot on the small hill overlooking the venue is my favorite:

And here are a few other places around the farm with sunflowers:

5. The rows of unique and vibrant dahlias that bloom from August to early October.

6. The lush grassy, flower-lined lawn near a charming pond and fountain

7. The main flower patch near the arbor. This spot is home to many, many varieties of stunning flowers that changes each month. Some flowers I’ve seen include: cosmos, snapdragons, verbena, delphinium, rudbeckia, marigolds, and many more!

8. The beautiful greenhouses and venue buildings, lovingly decorated with seasonal displays of flowers and plants.

This particular pathway surrounded by lush greenery is a favorite spot of mine, especially on a sunny day when the lighting hits just right!

There are so many stunning backdrops at Scattered Seeds for senior portraits that it would take a much longer post to cover them all! But I hope this gives you a great glimpse of what to expect throughout the seasons.
